Account Executive

FundLoans is a wholesale lender looking for an experienced Account Executive (AE) who will establish, nurture and retain business relationships with mortgage brokers and correspondents. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a network of mortgage brokers funding loans though FundLoans
  • Managing all assigned Client accounts to include educating the clients in every aspect of the business relationship. 
  • Create /execute a marketing & business plan that will drive approved TPO clients
  • Facilitate broker submissions of loan packages.
  • Communicate with the brokers to ensure product knowledge, answer scenario questions, provide status updates, and answer general questions. Provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage pipeline and meet or exceed production goals
  • Monitor ongoing performance of brokers.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operation Management to continuously drive improvement in the wholesale program.

  • 1-3 years previous wholesale experience
  • Thorough understanding of lending guidelines and understand all facets of a real estate transaction
  • Thorough understanding of all state, federal and agency regulatory requirements including but not limited to TRID, RESPA, ECOA, TILA and HMDA
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, both verbally and written
  • Strong organization skills and detail orientated

Position Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of sales experience in any industry OR Recent Graduate or Senior level in College Finance, Business or Accounting major

Mortgage Underwriter

FundLoans is a Jumbo Non-QM, wholesale mortgage lender seeking additional hands-on “make sense” Underwriters. Our company is a leader in the Jumbo Non-QM space. We would like to add to our growing team a couple practical “outside the box” thinkers to help us grow while delivering high quality loans to our investors.

​If you have expertise in manual underwriting, jumbo credit risk / wealth profiles / income streams, as well as with non-QM products like Bank Statement loans, Asset Utilization and DSCR loans, you have the skill sets we need.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review all loan documentation, perform an analysis of findings, input data, draft complete loan conditions and “call out” loan decisions.
  • Review of Credit documentation to assure compliance with investor standards on the number/type of tradelines; repayment history; derogatory credit events and minimum payments on obligations.
  • ​Review of residential mortgage appraisal forms for all residential property types, and all property valuation tools including and not limited to Collateral Desk Assessments and AVM’s.
  • Calculation of Loan to Value Ratios, Debt-To-Income Ratios, Residual Incomes, Payment Shock, and other pertinent measures of repayment ability
  • Analysis of income from salaries, commissions, self-employment, investments, asset depletion and fixed income sources.
  • Experienced in alternative income documentation review, such as personal and business bank statement analysis, and asset depletion.
  • Analyze assets statements for bank statement income approach products.
  • Reconcile findings with published guidelines to address/resolve variances, create lending solutions based on approvable exception scenarios and counter-offers.
  • Perform related duties as requested. Wholesale Underwriter

  • Minimum five years as a Wholesale Underwriter with the ability to underwrite to multiple Investor guidelines and Loan Products.
  • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of all aspects of wholesale loan production and mortgage loan file flow.
  • Strong background in Non-Prime, Non-QM, Jumbo and Super Jumbo desired.
  • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of multiple Loan Origination Systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage a national inside and outside Wholesale Sales Team
  • Responsible for achieving sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Underwriting Manager

FundLoans Capital is a Jumbo Non-QM, direct, retail and wholesale lender seeking a hands on and “make sense” Underwriting Manager. The Underwriting Manager is be responsible for managing underwriting and achieving metrics for production and quality. The Underwriting Manager will be responsible to hire, lead, motivate and mentor a team of local and remote underwriters.
Essential Functions
  • Monitor overall pipeline and ensure workloads are adjusted.
  • Ensure loans are underwritten in accordance with underwritingstandards, risk management factors, regulations and within expected timeframes.
  • Personally underwrite loans when needed.
  • Participate in our credit committee on suspended or loans recommended for denial.
  • Coach team to achieve/exceed optimal performance against metrics; take action to optimize productivity, quality, efficiency and service-levels.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of approved and declined loan applications to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and risk management factors, quality decision standards, and provide coaching and training to team to build capabilities.
  • Review and respond promptly to address/clear outstanding finding in audit reports received from Post Closing, Quality Assurance, Secondary Investors; assist Corporate in clearing Shipping and Suspense deficiencies.
  • Monitor various reports to identify possible training opportunities.
  • Assist Operations Managers with training branch/region employees regarding disclosures, use of company software systems, and branch-specific procedures related to underwriting.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and industry that affect underwritingcompliance; recommend updates to policies as required.
  • Conduct research using proprietary systems, subscriber databases and internet resources to resolve issues and verify compliance with regulations.
  • Continuously monitor and assess underwriter staffing levels, recruitment, performance management, and retention in accordance with Company requirements, processes and policies.
  • Oversee all training, underwriter development and career growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 8 - 10 years total work experience in progressively responsible positions underwriting loans (Conventional, Jumbo, Super Jumbo, ALT Doc and Non QM)
  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriting Manager with multiple direct reports.
  • Expert level knowledge of overall mortgage lending process, underwriting loan requirements, federal, state, and regulatory requirements/guidelines related to consumer mortgage lending and internal processes, controls, and asset protection.
  • Expert level knowledge of valid documentation related to the processing consumer mortgage applications (e.g., tax returns, financial statements and records, verification of income and deposits, etc.)
  • Familiar with calculating income to meet ATR by using personal and business bank statements.
  • Results and metric driven, ability to clearly communicate issues and expectations, and capable of motivating a team to reach goals and drive initiatives.
  • Strong management and critical thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions and determine the downstream impact of decisions and associated risks.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks for self and others in a deadline-driven environment; strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Ability to be patient and train less experienced team members, respond to questions, build capability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
  • Prior experience using internal data entry systems, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
